EDAE 699 - Thesis

Thesis

This course is not delivered by distance media; it is driven by an agreement between the instructor and the student. Typical examples are thesis, research, internship, and other courses where the objectives and activities are determined jointly by the instructor and the student. In most cases, the agreement on course activities and objectives is reached with the student and advisor or instructor before enrollment in the course. During the course, the instructor and student communicate by any convenient means, usually phone and email.

This course has an online component delivered through Canvas.

Prerequisite

EDAE 520 (Adult Education); EDAE 624 (Adult Teaching and Learning I); EDRM 600/AGED 600 (Introduction to Research Methods); Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate (GR) OR Professional (PR)

Important Information

Students in the Adult Education and Training (AET) (M.Ed.) should register for 3 credit hours.

Dr. Tobin Lopes has been practicing and studying the field of workforce education and development since 1995. In addition to his work with Colorado State University, he most recently developed the curriculum for an executive-level hybrid graduate program for the University of Colorado Denver and was a workforce policy analyst for the City and County of Denver. He holds a Ph.D. in Workforce Education and Development with a minor in Applied Statistics from Pennsylvania State University, a M.Ed. in Adult Education and Training from Colorado State University, and a B.A. in Mathematics from Claremont McKenna College. Tobin's research interests include evaluation and assessment, hybrid learning and teaching methods for adults, career development, and quantitative research methods.
